SUV hits couch in road in Polk

Jaele L. Clarke, 24, of Easton, escaped injury when an SUV she was driving struck a couch in the middle of Greenhill Road in Polk Township.

The incident happened at 8:27 p.m. Dec. 17.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said she was northbound in a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander and did not see the couch because of the dark conditions, striking it within the roadway.

The vehicle was able to be driven from the scene.
