Szczecina has big Senior Day for Misericordia

Panther Valley High School graduate Jake Szczecina had Senior Day to remember for the Misericordia University men’s basketball team.

In the Cougars’ regular season finale against Manhattenville, Szczecina made the most of his first start of the season, scoring a team-high 18 points in an 83-71 Misericordia victory.

Szczecina was 6-for-9 from three-point range in the game. He also added five rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 25 minutes of playing time.

For the season, Szczecina saw action in eight games for the Cougars (16-10, 10-4). He averaged 3.1 points a game.
