Tamaqua’s Gerber headed to Lebanon Valley

Tamaqua’s April Gerber is set to continue her academic and athletic career at Lebanon Valley College. Gerber will participate in both cross country and track and field.

Gerber was a member of the Raiders’ varsity cross country and track and field teams for four seasons, and a member of the junior high programs for two.

Coached by Tom Kanger, Gerber was a member of Tamaqua’s cross country teams that won four consecutive Schuylkill League Division 1 titles, as well as four straight league meet championships.

In addition to cross country and track and field, Gerber is also involved with National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, English National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Math National Honor Society, vice president of the Tamaqua Student Government, treasurer of the Physics Club, Biology Club, Chemistry Club, Raider Step Up and World Language Club.

The daughter of Terry and Darlene Gerber, April will study actuarial science at Lebanon Valley.
