Tamaqua Area School Board
Tamaqua Area School Board’s finance committee on Tuesday recommended the following:
• Approval of an intergovernmental agreement for educational services with the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21 for the 2019-20 school year as per the proposal submitted.
• Settlement of a tax assessment appeal filed by Steven and Alyssa Martucci, to agreed that the fair market value of their property at 66 Great Oaks Drive, Nesquehoning, is $385,000 for the purposes of the tax assessment appeal.
The Auxiliary Committee recommended:
• Approving a month-to-month Small Games of Chance license for Tamaqua Elementary PTO.
The Education Committee recommended:
• Approving the first reading of policy on Child/Student Abuse.
• An agreement with the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit #21 for Special Education Service for the 2019-20 school year.
• The approval of the following high school courses: A.P. Government, 1 credit; Creativity and Problem-Solving in the 21st Century, 0.5 credit; Survey of Physics 2, 0.5 credit.
