The following incidents were reported by Tamaqua police.

• Joshua Honey, 21, of Center Street, Tamaqua, has been charged by police in connection with the theft of a dirt bike.

The theft was reported on Aug. 13, 2017, when the bike was stolen from a property on Arlington Street.

The investigation determined that Honey was in possession of the dirt bike and had it stored away at a construction company in West Penn Township. When questioned, Honey admitted he knew the bike was stolen but had no intention of returning it to its rightful owner.

He was arraigned before on-call District Judge Anthony Kilker, of Shenandoah, on Feb. 10, charged with receiving stolen property. Bail was set at $25,000 unsecured.

• Benjamin Arnold, 46, of the 100 block of East Phillips Street Coaldale, was cited for making false statements on federal and state forms required to purchase a firearm.

Arnold attempted to purchase a rifle on June 29, 2017, at Ed’s Sports Shop, West Broad Street, and marked “no” on the forms in relation to the question about ever being convicted of a crime in which the potential prison time could be one year or more.

Arnold was convicted of possession of marijuana in 1990 in the state of Maryland.
