Three defendants rounded up in a drug bust in Tamaqua on Sept. 10 were in court for preliminary hearings last week.

Joseph E. Kulha, 26, of Tamaqua, had his bail modified at his preliminary hearing. He was charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a felony charge of criminal use of a communications facility and possession of a controlled substance related to a June 14 incident.

Despite the bail reduction from $50,000 straight to $50,000 percentage, Kulha remains in the Schuylkill County Prison on drug-related charges filed on Sept. 10. The charges were filed by Tamaqua patrolmen Anthony Stanell and Thomas Rodgers.

Troy Michael Fairchild Sr., 45, of Lehighton, was charged with four felony counts of possession with intent to deliver, a felony count of conspiracy/criminal use of a communication facility and a misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance. The charges were filed by Tamaqua Officers Rodgers and Stanell in connection with a May 31 case.

Fairchild’s bail was set at $10,000 straight. He remains confined in the Carbon County Correctional Facility on other drug-related charges.

Carly Jo Fairchild, 24, of Lehighton, was charged with two felony counts of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and a felony count of criminal use of a communication facility. The charges were filed by Tamaqua officers Stanell and Rodgers in connection with a May 21 incident.

Bail was set at $10,000 straight. She remains confined in the Carbon County Correctional Facility on other drug-related charges.
