Tamaqua extends Hometown Hero banner deadline
The Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce has extended the deadline for its Hometown Heroes banner program until March 15.
The program is intended to honor any local hometown hero who has provided beneficial service to the Tamaqua area. These heroes may include first responders, organization volunteers, civic leaders, active military, veterans and may be living or deceased.
Banners will be displayed on available poles throughout downtown Tamaqua and are constructed of heavy weight, outdoor vinyl with slits to minimize wind damage. A specific location for placement of any banner cannot be guaranteed. The banners will be displayed for two years.
Cost per banner is $200. Cash, check, or credit accepted. Checks should be payable to Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce.
