    Tamaqua’s newest fire engine, a 2017 Pierce pumper, was officially dedicated during a service on Dec. 16 at the South Ward Fire Company. Bud Strauss, a representative from Pierce and the Glick Fire Equipment company, presented the station with a framed print of the new apparatus. Accepting the gift were, kneeling, from left, Bob Ciavaglia and Robert Amentler Jr.; and standing: Kevin Startzel, Mark Bower, Robert Amentler Sr. and George Haldeman. The Rev.
