Tamaqua Halloween Parade set for Oct. 23
It’s time to register for the 52nd Annual Tamaqua Halloween Parade, which is scheduled for Oct. 23. Sponsored by the Tamaqua Lions Club, the parade will begin at 7 p.m. at the east end of town.
Cash prizes will be awarded for the top entries, as determined by a panel of judges, in two categories — marchers and floats.
In a bit of a change from past years, registration forms are only available online at the Tamaqua Halloween Parade Facebook page, by calling 570-778-6663 or by emailing bkeich@yahoo.com.
This year’s Grand Marshal will be Allen Keich.
The parade will assemble in the parking lot at the Tamaqua Plaza, 1215 E. Broad St., Tamaqua (former Jamesway lot). All entries must be in place no later than 6:30 p.m.
The line of march will then head west on Broad Street.
There is no registration fee, and entry is open to anyone and everyone.
Deadline to register is Oct. 18.
