Tamaqua Heritage Festival parking restrictions announced

Due to the Tamaqua Historical Society holding the 33rd annual Tamaqua Heritage Festival on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., parking and travel restrictions will be in effect and enforced by the borough police department.

The following streets will have no parking:

• West Broad Street from the Five Points to Nescopeck Street.

• South Railroad Street from Broad to Spruce streets.

• Berwick Street from Broad Street to Hegarty Avenue.

• Hegarty Avenue from in front of the blacksmith shop between Nescopeck and Lafayette streets.

• Nescopeck Street from Hegarty Avenue to Rowe Street.

• Nescopeck Street from Broad Street to Cottage Avenue.

Parking will be allowed on Hegarty Avenue from Berwick to Nescopeck streets and on Nescopeck Street from Rowe to Broad streets.

The following streets will be closed to traffic:

• South Railroad Street from Broad Street to Spruce Street.

• Hegarty Avenue from Berwick to Nescopeck streets (Parking allowed in this area).

• Hegarty Avenue in front of the blacksmith shop from Nescopeck to Lafayette streets.

• Nescopeck Street from Hegarty Avenue to Rowe Street.

• Nescopeck Street from Broad Street to Cottage Avenue.
