A Tamaqua man faces assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief charges.

Tamaqua police were dispatched to the Wine and Spirits on North Railroad Street on July 12.

A victim directed police to the front of the store where Markus Kordell Sutton, 22, was being detained by a second victim.

According to witness and victim statements, Sutton entered the store and was denied service. He became irate and verbally threatened to strike and go after the first victim. Before he made physical contact Sutton was deterred by other customers and began to leave the store.

Before leaving Sutton approached the second victim and ripped his eye glasses off his face breaking them.
