Tamaqua National Day of Prayer
Tamaqua’s National Day of Prayer observance on Thursday will include a community breakfast and time of prayer.
Breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. in Founder’s Hall of Trinity United Church of Christ, 22 Lafayette St., Tamaqua.
After the meal, participants will walk outside to the parking lot, where they will offer prayers for various areas of American society and culture. The lot provides a panoramic view of the borough. Members of the Tamaqua Ministerial Association will lead the prayers.
Everyone is welcome, and freewill offerings will be accepted to help defray the cost of the breakfast. If there are any excess funds, they will be donated to the Tamaqua Hunger Walk, which is being held the weekend of May 5 and 6.
For those who wish to join in the prayer but not the breakfast, please arrive at the church no later than 9:45 a.m.
