VFW Post 5069 of Andreas will meet on Wednesday at West Penn Annex at 7 p.m. to discuss upcoming Wounded Warrior project.
Baby food ministry
Saint Vincent de Paul of Saint John XXIII Baby Food Ministry registration is underway.
Free baby food will be given for babies from birth to 1 year at the Church Hall, 307 Pine St., Tamaqua, on the third Saturday of the month from 9 to 11 a.m. by appointment only.
Registration is required at least three days before distribution on line at tamaquasvdp@outlook.com or by phone at 570-225-8620 from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday.
This is open to residents of the Tamaqua Area School District, or members of Saint John XXIII Parish.
Blood Drive
The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive on Jan. 15 from 1 to 6 p.m. in the social hall of St. John UCC.
Anyone 17 or older who weighs at least 110 pounds and is in general good health is eligible to donate blood.
Walk-ins are welcome or you can schedule an appointment by calling 800-733-2767 or visit www.redcross.org.

The Rev. Kevin Roberts will officiate at the 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. worship services this Sunday in Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church. Sunday life groups are held at 9:30 a.m. The annual congregational meeting will be held at noon.
