Primitive Methodist

Pastor Rick Clemson will officiate at the 10:45 a.m. worship service this Sunday in American Primitive Methodist Church. Sunday school classes are held at 9:30 a.m.

Hope in the Mountains meetings are held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays. This is a Nar-Anon Family Group. For more information, call 570-952-5098.

A Bible study on the book of Revelation continues on July 2 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the main Sunday school room.

Bethany EC

The Rev. Kevin Roberts will officiate the 8 a.m. service at Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church. A church picnic will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the West Penn Rod and Gun Club, Clamtown Road, Tamaqua.

Activities for the week: July 1, Celebrate Recovery 6:30 to 9 p.m.; July 3, TYM Remix 6:30 to 8 p.m. and worship practice 8 to 9 p.m.; July 6, Church workday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday in Zion Church, Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is held at 9:15 a.m. This is the fifth Sunday of the month-Holy Grounds Sunday. Coffee and refreshments will be served before the service.

Weekly activities: Monday, Women’s Prayer Study at 6 p.m.

Consistory will meet on July 11 at 6:30 p.m.

Calvary Lewistown

The 10:25 a.m. service will feature “Team Orwigsburg,” an interdenominational group of men and women who assist with disaster relief, rebuilding and cleanup in areas of need. Come hear them share of the blessings given and received through these loving efforts. Speakers will be Dave and Eileen Thompson and Bill Cryts. Special music will be provided by Allie Gerber, Jamie Zuber, April Gerber and Thaddaeus Zuber. The service will be followed with an indoor picnic. There will be no Sunday evening service to attend Auburn Camp services in Auburn. Due to the holiday, there will be no Wednesday evening prayer meeting.

Starting on July 7, Calvary will start with the summer worship schedule, which is held in the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle.

St. John Lutheran

The Rev. Phyllis Wolford will officiate at the 9:15 a.m. service, the Third Sunday after Pentecost.

The church office will be closed on July 4. Summer office hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
