Rush-Ryan Seniors

The Rush-Ryan-Delano Senior Citizens met Oct. 8 at Christ Church, Barnesville with 48 members in attendance.

A warm welcome back was extended to Elaine Trusky. October birthdays were celebrated by Carol Sedlak and Shirley Kaiser. A Halloween basket was donated by Doris Brobst.

Upcoming activities include: Oct. 21, Mohegan Sun Casino; Oct. 23, Penn’s Peak, Jim Thorpe; Nov. 4, Shady Maple, Lancaster; Dec. 4, Christmas Party, Capriotti’s, McAdoo.

The group meets the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 1 p.m. at Christ Church, Barnesville and is open to anyone 55 or older.

Primitive Methodist

Pastor Rick Clemson will officiate at the 10:45 a.m. worship service this Sunday in American Primitive Methodist Church. Sunday school classes are held at 9:30 a.m.

Hope in the Mountains meetings are held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays. This is a Nar-Anon Family Group. For more information, call 570-952-5098.

Calvary Lewistown

The Rev. Susan Moore will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. worship service this Sunday In Calvary Evangelical Methodist Church in the Lewistown Valley. Sunday school classes are held at 9:15 a.m.

There will be a Sunday evening service of praise and Bible study at 6:30 p.m. Also, prayer service on Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.

Upcoming events include: Happy pumpkin painting and carving night on Oct. 26. Time to be announced; Nov. 24, annual harvest and Thanksgiving service at 6:30 p.m.
