Tamaqua playground vandalized

Tamaqua Police are asking the public for help in identifying the person(s) responsible for recent vandalism at the East End Playground on Mountain Avenue.

Someone damaged 11 wooden benches, destroyed a light near the concession stand and caused damage to the band stand. Total cost of the damage is estimated at $1,200 to $1,500.

The damage was discovered on April 10.
