Tamaqua police reported on the following arrests:

• Tanya N. Braun, 28, Tamaqua, was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property after an incident on Oct. 29. A witness reported that Braun, who has three prior convictions for retail theft, shoplifted from Fegley’s Mini Mart.

• Walter F. Englert, 51, Tamaqua, was charged with counterfeit title registration and operating a vehicle without an official certificate of inspection after a Nov. 2 incident. Police were monitoring traffic when they saw Englert’s vehicle traveling with no plate lights. The Oct. 19 emissions sticker did not match the car’s VIN number. Englert admitted to taking it off his truck and putting it on the vehicle he was operating.

• Robert E. Dingle, 52, Chambersburg, was charged with firearm ownership/providing false information and unsworn falsification to authorities, stemming from an Aug. 17 incident.

Dingle attempted to purchase a firearm from Ed’s Sports Shop. He filled out the ATF Form 443 with false information. Dingle listed that had never been convicted of a crime, which proved to be false.

• Susan L. Reznick, 35, Tamaqua, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after an Oct. 30 incident. Police were surveying an area of North Railroad street when Reznick was observed with another woman, who had a warrant for her arrest, exit a vehicle, enter a residence, and return to a vehicle. Police made contact with both women and asked Reznick what she was seen putting between the seats of the vehicle. Reznick replied, “Nothing, you can look if you want.” Police found two white wax packets that were consistent with what heroin or fentanyl would be packaged in. The suspected controlled substances were logged into evidence to be sent to the crime lab for further analysis.
