Tamaqua Area School Board’s finance committee recently recommended approving the following:

• The transfer of $429,000 to the district’s capital reserve fund.

The board’s education committee recommended approval:

• Of a five-year agreement with King’s College for the purpose of student teaching and/or student practicum.

• Roseann M. Weinrich for permission to take the AP Biology students to the Chincoteague Bay Field Station in Wallops Island, Virginia, for the Marian Biology Program, April 29-May 1.

• Lawrence M. Capozzelli for permission to take the AP Physics and Physics classes to Six Flags Great Adventure, New Jersey, May 4, for the Annual Physics Day.
