Tamaqua School Board

Tamaqua Area School Board, took the following action on Tuesday:

• Approved the Schuylkill Technology Budget. The district’s contribution rate is $716,980, which represents an increase of $26,582.

• Renewed the food service management agreement contract for a one-year period beginning on July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019.

• Approved the resignation of Christian Gardiner as a full-time custodian, effective March 23.

• Appointed Rebekah Hromyak as substitute custodian.

• Rescinded the motion of March 20, of Arthur Lewis as a substitute custodian.

• Removed Angel Vanblargen from the professional substitute teacher list.

• Rescinded the motion of March 20, approving Cody Mahon.

• Approved the repository sale of a parcel located at 241 Lafayette St., for the purchase price of $1 to Scott Steffy.

• Approved the Mauch Chunk Trust banking proposal, effective July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019.

• Approved the 2018 Prom at Capriotti’s on May 5.

• Approved April 2 as an Act 80 Day.
