Tamaqua sorority news

Published October 25. 2017 11:45AM

Members of Preceptor Alpha Upsilon Sorority recently prepared Halloween treat bags to be distributed to Tamaqua Meals on Wheels clients. The treat bags, the chapter’s Fall service project, will be distributed on Oct. 30 in conjunction with National Make a Difference Day.

The sorority sisters finalized plans for a Fall social on Oct. 21. The group will meet for dinner, then travel to Country Junction where they will attempt to escape from the “motel room”.

The group is tentatively making plans for a bus trip to New York City, in the Spring of 2018, to visit the Sept. 11 memorial.

The chapter will sponsor 10 boys at the Bethany Children’s Home for Christmas as a service project.

The next meeting will be held tonight at the home of Helen Walters.
