Tamaqua stabbing being investigated.

Tamaqua police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 200 block of North Greenwood Street Thursday.

The incident occurred about 5 p.m. during a domestic argument between a couple. Initial reports state the woman stabbed the man in the neck during the altercation. The woman sustained a cut on her hand, while the man was treated at the scene by members of the Tamaqua ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being transported to St. Luke’s Miners campus in Coaldale to be prepped and stabilized before being flown to a Lehigh Valley trauma center.

The woman was also taken to the hospital to be treated.

Tamaqua police are investigating the incident.
