Tamaqua thefts and more
Tamaqua Police released information on several recent cases.
Alec Thomas Maruschak, 23, of Patterson Street, Tamaqua, was charged with retail theft after taking prepackaged baked goods from Fegley’s Mini Mart on Center Street. The items were valued at $3.28.
Joshua J. Schrepple, 36, of Greenwood Street, Tamaqua, was charged with retail theft after stealing a carton of Marlboro cigarettes from the Fegley Mini Mart. The theft took place at 3:55 a.m. on Aug. 18. The carton was valued at $79.08.
A 15-year-old Tamaqua male was charged with harassment after a fight on Aug. 21. Police were called to the area of Spruce and Center Streets at 2:33 p.m. The juvenile reportedly punched another male in the temple, knocking the victim to the ground.
Abraham Pacios, 31, of Lansford, was charged with driving without a license, driving with an open container of beer and driving without a seat belt on Aug. 25. A caller reported a blue van being driven recklessly in the area of Napa Auto Parts at 3:10 a.m. The van was stopped on Pine Street, with Pacios behind the driver’s wheel. He admitted to not having a license. The open bottle of beer was on the rear floor.
