Tamaqua woman gets probation in three cases
A Tamaqua woman will serve a total of one year on probation and perform 60 hours of community service in three cases.
Lisa M. Cope, 53, was charged by Tamaqua police with hindering apprehension and possession of drug paraphernalia on Aug. 7, 2017.
In that case, Schuylkill County Judge Jacqueline L. Russell sentenced her to 12 months on probation, to perform 20 hours of community service, and obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation on the hindering charge. The possession charge was dropped.
Cope was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on July 31, 2017. In that case, Russell sentenced her to six months on probation and 20 hours of community service. The probation sentence runs concurrently with the 12-mont sentence.
Cope was charged with theft and receiving stolen property on June 22, 2017.
Russell sentenced her to 11 months on probation, again to be served concurrently with the 12-month sentence, and to another 20 hours of community service.
