Tanner, Hunter Kennedy both heading to Lycoming for wrestling
Panther Valley High School seniors Tanner and Hunter Kennedy will both be continuing their academic and athletic careers at Lycoming College.
Tanner and Hunter will both be part of Lycoming’s NCAA Division 3 wrestling team.
The twins were both four-year starters for the Panther wrestling team and honor students all four years of high school..
Tanner had a career record of 120-56 at Panther Valley, including a 35-12 mark this past season.
His career highlights include a 29-win season in 2014-15, the most wins by a freshman in school history; a 2017 Schuylkill League championship, a 2017 District 11 Class 2A third-place finish; a 2018 fourth-place finish at the Schuylkill League championships; a 2018 District 11 Class 2A second place finish; a 2018 Class 2A Southeast Regional third place finish; and a 2018 PIAA State qualifier.
Hunter had a career record of 128-55 at Panther Valley, including a 32-11 mark as a senior.
Among Hunter’s career highlights are, 2017 second-place finishes at the Schuylkill League championships, the District 11 Class 2A championships, and the Class 2A Southeast Regional. In 2018, he finished second at both the Schuylkill League championships and the District 11 Class 2A championships. He was also 6th at the Class 2A Southeast Regional. In addition, Hunter was a 2017 and 2018 PIAA State qualifier.
Tanner and Hunter are the sons of Ed and Nikki Kennedy of Hauto.
