Tax lawyer to speak to Carbon bar

R. Nicholas Nanovic, a member of the law firm Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., will speak on the new tax law at the Bench Bar Conference for the Carbon County Bar Association at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Blue Shamrock County Club.

Nanovic will present “New Changes to the Tax Law — What Lawyers Need to Know” at 11 a.m.

“I was raised in Carbon County, where I was first admitted to practice over a decade ago. I always enjoy returning to the area, especially to speak on such a great topic,” Nanovic said.

A resident of Allentown, Nanovic focuses his practice on taxation, estate planning and administration, and business law. He practices primarily in Pennsylvania, although he is also licensed to practice in New Jersey and Florida. He has extensive experience in drafting estate planning documents including wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, revocable trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts, charitable lead trusts, charitable remainder trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, and irrevocable life insurance trusts.

He is a board member and president of the Estate Planning Council of the Lehigh Valley, and president of the Notre Dame Club of Lehigh Valley.
