Theft of cable being investigated

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of optic cable.

Troopers said sometime between Sept. 13 and 17, someone approached a PPL transfer station located at 457 S. Good Spring Road in Hegins Township and proceeded to climb a fence on the northwest end of the property.

Once inside the fenced area, the suspect removed one 300-foot spool of Prysmian 48 conductor fiber optic cable. The cable is valued at $557.
