Theft of firearm being investigated

The theft of a firearm from a Carbon County residence is being investigated.

State police at Lehighton said a couple who reside along Blackberry Lane in Penn Forest Township, Jim Thorpe, reported a Taurus 357 magnum firearm was taken from their residence.

The incident occurred sometime between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 9:22 p.m. Thursday.
