Theft of gun investigated

State police at Fogelsville are investigating the theft of a handgun from a vehicle belonging to a Carbon County resident.

Troopers said a 48-year-old man from Palmerton reported his Ruger Security-9 was removed from his vehicle while parked in the 7700 block of Alburtis Road in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County. The theft occurred sometime between 1:30 and 11 p.m. on Wednesday.
