Tools swiped in Schuylkill
State police at Frackville reported investigating two incidents at Schuylkill County locations, one involving thefts and the other a burglary.
Troopers said on Saturday officials of the Michels Corporation reported tools were taken from trucks. The firm was completing transmission line replacements for PPL along Route 54 near Yatesville on Reading Anthracite property in Mahanoy Township. The firm reported tool boxes were rummaged through their trucks and equipment was stolen from storage units of the trucks. There was also damages caused to two bucket cover straps on the trucks.
Total value of the tools taken was set at $4,200 and damages at $400. The incident occurred sometime between April 19 and Saturday.
The burglary occurred at a residence under construction along Tunnel Road in Ryan Township. Valley Construction and Remodeling Inc. reported various power tools and related equipment were stolen from the property. Total value of the stolen items was set at $2,000. The incident occurred sometime between April 19 and Nov. 1. Another listed victim is Wildlife Renovations.
