Towamensing Township supervisors

Towamensing Township Supervisors took the following actions at the monthly meeting on Thursday:

• Approved the appointment of Kirk Summa & Co. LLP as the certified public accountant for the township.

• The end-of-year supervisor meeting was set for 3 p.m. Dec. 27.

• Approved new member Jack Branch to the township historical commission.

• Approved a fire police request to assist with the Snowflake 5K event in Lehighton Borough on Dec. 8.

• Accepted the resignation of Robert O’Donnell from the planning commission and approved his appointment as an alternate member of the zoning hearing board.

Also during the meeting it was announced that winter preparations continue and the salt shed construction is on schedule to be completed during the week of Nov. 12.
