Tamaqua earned a split with North Schuylkill in a Schuylkill League Division 1 meet.
The Blue Raiders prevailed in the girls’ meet, 79-71. Makenna Kane won both the 100 and 300 hurdles for Tamaqua, while Alyssa Campomizzi (javelin), Shanna Brinkworth (pole vault) and Kayla Sherry (200) also had wins.
The Spartans won the boys’ event, 82-68. Nathaniel Davidson (110) and Zeno Zukovich (300) helped the Blue Raiders sweep the two hurdle events. Brad Clemson (800) and Matthew Amodea (discus) also had victories.

Blue Mountain swept Lehighton in a Schuylkill League Division 1 meet.
The Eagles posted an 81-69 victory in the boys’ meet. Tahmir Spencer picked up wins in the 100 and 200 for the Indians.
In the girls’ meet, Blue Mountain won 79-71. Lehighton’s Isabelle Meckes won the discus with a school-record throw of 119-08, breaking the previous mark of 119-05, which was held by Gwen Remaley. Kelsey Gaston (1600, 3200), Kaia Slaw (triple jump, high jump) and Isabella Baka (pole vault, long jump) were multiple-event winners for the Indians.
