Jim Thorpe posted a sweep of North Schuylkill in track action Monday.

Jim Thorpe gained a Schuylkill League sweep, as the Olympian boys topped North Schuylkill by an 83-67 score, and the girls edged the Spartans, 77-73.

Justin Ellis won both hurdling events in the boys meet, while Thorpe received firsts from eight other individuals. The Olympians also swept both the 3200 and 110 hurdles.

In girls action, Lydia Wallace (200, 400) and Kylee Dulski (hurdles) each won two events. The winners also gained firsts from Emma Dunbar (100), Devon Lignore (shot), Kristen Scott (javelin) and Debbie Loyd (pole vault).

Whitehall, Pleasant Valley at Northampton

Pleasant Valley split its Eastern Pennsylvania Conference tri-meet with Whitehall and Northampton.

The Bears defeated Whitehall in both boys and girls action, while the Konkrete Kids gained a sweep of PV.

Luke Valdevit won two events for the Bears, taking the 800 and 1600. The Pleasant Valley boys also received firsts from Leo Hoppe (3200), Xavier Garmony (110 hurdles) and Patrick Conklin (pole vault).

The PV girls received a pair of firsts from Armani Dunkley (200, high jump) and Morgan Covart (800, 1600), while Jalurah Moore (100), Jade Kautzsch (long jump) and Sophia Johnson (shot) each won one.

Tamaqua-Blue Mountain

Blue Mountain swept Tamaqua in a Schuylkill League meet. The Eagles won the boys meet, 101-49, and took the girls meet, 85-65.

Sarah Maue was the only multiple event winner for Tamaqua as she captured the 1600 and 3200 meter runs. Other Raider girls who finished first were Frances Kabana (400), April Gerber (800), Alyssa Campozzi (javelin) and Shanna Brinkworth (pole vault).

For the Tamaqua boys, Brad Clemson (400), Matt Kistler (800), Kahlid Holland (pole vault), Barron Stauffenberg (triple jump) and Nathaniel Noftz (discus) all picked up firsts.

Willie Streisel won three events to lead the Bears to a 111 1/2-34 1/2 victory in boys action. The Panthers received a pair of firsts from Tyler Davis (long and triple jumps) and one from Elias Tavares (400), while Adam Depew shared a first in the high jump.

Mahanoy, behind three firsts from Madison Cavenas, cruised to a 112-27 victory in the girls meet. For PV, Jacqueline Kokinda captured first in the javelin, while Aneilia McLeod tied for first in the 100.
