Track Roundup: Results from April 4

The Palmerton boys were the only area track team to earn a victory on Thursday.

The Blue Bombers split with Notre Dame, while Northern Lehigh and Northwestern were both swept in their meets.

Notre Dame-Palmerton

The Palmerton boys handled Notre Dame of Green Pond, 101-48, while the Blue Bomber girls dropped an 84-61 decision.

Jacob Martinez posted three individual victories (800, 1600, 3200) for Palmerton, while Aaron Stasko (100, 200) and Jordan Nelson (110 H, long jump) both won two events.

In the girls meet, the Bombers received two firsts from Madison Martinez (100 H, 300H) and Maddison Beahm (long jump, triple jump).

Pen Argyl-Northern Lehigh

Five different Northern Lehigh athletes were double winners, but Pen Argyl still managed to gain a sweep of the Bulldogs.

Trevor Amorim won the 100 and 200, and Zach Moyer captured the high and triple jumps, but it wasn’t enough as the Green Knights prevailed, 83-67.

The Pen Argyl girls pulled out a 78-64 victory. The Bulldogs received multiple wins from Kristen Guelcher (100, 100 H), Raegan Pender (1600, 3200), and Hailey Evans (shot put, discus).

Southern Lehigh broke the century mark in both the boys and girls meet, sweeping Northwestern in a Colonial League meet.

The Spartan boys won all but four events in their 113-37 victory. Brendan Miller and Adam Noblit both had two individual wins for Solehi.

Madison Trout, Victoria Adams and Sierra Williams each captured two wins as the Spartan girls cruised to a 110 1/2-39 1/2 victory.
