Traffic safety awards presented to local cops

    The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and its traffic safety partners, the Pennsylvania Aggressive Driving Enforcement/Education Project and the local Community Traffic Safety project, honored local law enforcement officers and their departments for their participation in the 2017-18 aggressive driving campaign. Honorees included officer Michael Weaver and Chief Ken Zipovsky of Rush Township; Chief Brian Johnson and officer Todd Woodward of West Penn Township; and Chief Henry Woods and officer Jeremy Sporz of Tamaqua.
