Tree collapses into path of vehicle

Two people were hurt when a tree collapsed into the path of travel of their vehicle at 4:45 a.m. Oct. 12 in the Little Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township.

State police at Lehighton said Henry D. Davidson, 49, the driver of the vehicle, and Kimberly H. Davidson, 48, his passenger, sustained minor injuries.

Police said he was driving a 2001 Dodge Dakota eastbound when the tree fell. Unable to stop in time, the vehicle struck the tree head on.

The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damages.
