Truck’s brakes catch fire, driver cited

    A tractor-trailer driver was cited after he drove down the Broad Mountain, which is prohibited, following three rig crashes a few years ago, without stopping at a posted truck pull-off. Nesquehoning police were called Wednesday morning to the base of Route 93 for a brake fire on the rig. Police said the truck was fully loaded and the brakes caught fire and were smoking heavily.
