TT 9-10 get two victories

Towamensing Township picked up a pair of victories in the Panther Valley Little League Tournament.

Towamensing-Tamaqua

Luke Matsko, Cameron Pengelly and Caleb Jacoby each had two hits to help Towamensing gain a 12-2 victory over Tamaqua.

Jacoby also earned the pitching win, striking out five batters.

For Tamaqua, Anna Ackerman had a hit.

Towamensing-JT Red

Jason Carrelli had three hits and scored three times to lift Towamensing to an 18-7 win over Jim Thorpe Red.

Cameron Pengelly also had a strong offensive game, collecting two hits and scoring three runs, while Jake Rutkowitz and Caleb Jacoby each added a pair of hits.

For Thorpe, Josh Locke and Adam Lucic both had a hit.
