Turn To Us hosts run/walk on Sunday
Turn To Us is hosting a “Cancer Comes in All Colors Color Run/Walk” to commemorate National Cancer Survivors Day on Sunday.
“Come see how life after cancer is more than just surviving. It’s about living well. And that’s something to celebrate,” says Alicia Kline, NCSD coordinator for Turn To Us.
“Despite the numerous obstacles they face, cancer survivors live full, active lives and are an inspiration to all of us,” says Kline. “It’s time for our community to stand with them and support the mission of Turn To Us which lessens the burdens a cancer diagnosis brings through free gas gift cards, financial assistance which pays for medical bills and utility bills, and emotional support.”
This year’s local Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Big Creek Grange, 275 Grange Road, Lehighton.
Participants are urged to reserve their free tickets online, however it is not necessary to participate in the run/walk.
