Two men admitted in the Carbon County court on Monday to damaging a light fixture at the county prison.

Christopher Michael Galick, 32, of Bethlehem, and Kyle Bradley Gerber, 23, of Palmerton, both pleaded to one count each of institutional vandalism.

The two admitted damaging a light and fixture in the recreation area outside the prison on Oct. 1, 2019. The two threw a basketball at the fixture.

Galick, who is currently an inmate in the state correctional institution at Camp Hill, Cumberland County, was sentenced to serve four to 24 months in a state prison and pay restitution of $54.50. The term runs concurrent to a three- to six-year term he is serving on an aggravated assault count.

Gerber was sentenced to 24 months probation and ordered to pay restitution of $54.50 and render 100 hours of community service. He is currently an inmate in the county prison awaiting action on a pending criminal charge.

Each must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and Gerber a $50 monthly supervision fee while on probation.
