Two Northampton state legislators won’t seek re-election

Justin Simmons and Marcia Hahn, two Republican members of the state House of Representatives from Northampton County, announced this week that they will not seek re-election in 2020.

Simmons has represented the 131st District of Northampton, Lehigh and Montgomery counties since 2010, while Hahn has represented the 138th District, which includes East Allen and parts of Moore townships, since 2010.

Hahn said she is retiring to spend more time with her grandchildren, while Hahn said he will enter private life, although he did not indicate what his specific plans are.
