Valentine’s Day fundraiser planned
The Carbon County Friends of Animals will hold its Valentine’s Day fundraiser at the Carbon Plaza Mall this weekend.
Volunteers of the Jim Thorpe shelter will have a stand in the mall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They will be selling Erin’s Candies, as well as raffle tickets for a handmade quilt. The drawing for the quilt will take place on May 5 during the organization’s spring bingo event at the Orioles.
