Valor hosts Stand Down Day

Valor will host a Stand Down Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 16 at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 104 E. Bertsch St., Lansford.

The free event aims to help those in need by providing a takeout meal, clothing, toiletries and nonperishables for men, women and children. It is open to everyone.

Local agencies, including the St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Luke’s Salvation Army, Carbon County Veterans Affairs, CareerLink and more, will also be available for information and referrals.
