Vehicle leaves road, strikes garage

A vehicle left a Schuylkill County roadway and struck a garage Wednesday.

State police at Frackville said the one-vehicle crash occurred at 4:04 p.m. along Valley Road in Walker Township, outside Tamaqua. Troopers said Matthew R. Roberts, 22, of Tamaqua, was driving a 2007 Ford Focus eastbound when he failed to negotiate a right curve in the road. The Focus went onto the berm on the south side and struck a garage with its front passenger side, where it came to rest.

Roberts was not injured. He was cited for the crash.
