Vehicle stop leads to arrest

A vehicle stop by Pocono Mountain Regional police led to the arrest of a Monroe County man on drug charges.

Police said a vehicle was stopped at 1:15 a.m. Oct. 27 for speeding along Route 196 in Coolbaugh Township. At the stop and while speaking with several individuals in the vehicle, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A consent search was made of the vehicle and found was a bag of suspected marijuana which actually had 16 smaller individually packages baggies of suspected marijuana.

As a result Marlon Crosbie Jr. 18, of Tobyhanna, admitted the drugs found in the vehicle belonged to him. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
