Vehicle stop leads to arrests

On Feb. 14 at 5:08 p.m. Pocono Mountain Regional police officers stopped a vehicle along Route 191 at Hummingbird Lane in Barrett Township, Monroe County, for a traffic violation. Police made contact with the driver, identified as Thomas Joseph Sherlock, 24, and passenger, Jessica Lynn Strunk, 22, both of 115 Squirrel Lane, Mountainhome.

During the stop K-9 Hilo was called to the scene and detected the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. A search was conducted and marijuana was found. Sherlock and Strunk were both charged with disorderly conduct. Sherlock was also charged with driving without a license and window screening violation.
