Vehicle stops lead to arrests

Two vehicle stops led to the arrest of the drivers, according to state police at Lehighton.

On Nov. 20 about 7:27 p.m., a 50-year-old man from Nesquehoning, who troopers declined to identify, was stopped in the 3200 block of Long Run Road in Franklin Township. He was found to be under the influence and taken into custody. Charges will be filed.

On Nov. 12 about 8 p.m., a 40-year-old man from Wind Gap, who troopers declined to identify, was stopped at Route 248 and State Road in Franklin Township. He was found to be in possession of illegal substances and drug paraphernalia. Charges will be filed.
