Veteran Northern Lehigh director vents that district continues to run meetings same way for decades
A Northern Lehigh School District director is irked that the school board continues to run its meetings the same as it has for decades.
Longtime Director Mathias Green said at Monday’s school board meeting that neighboring Northwestern Lehigh School Board streams their school board meetings every month.
Green said that’s in stark contrast to Northern Lehigh, which continues to run its meetings the same as it has for the past 40 years, even noting it continues to use the same yellow-colored papers for its meeting agenda.
He said there was a time when Northern Lehigh was on the cutting-edge, and added he believes that may no longer be the case in many respects.
In January, Green was recognized by the Pennsylvania School Board Association for his years of service.
Green has been a Northern Lehigh board member for 40 years.
