VFW Auxiliary meeting held

The regular monthly meeting of the VFW Auxiliary to Nesquehoning Memorial Post 8008 was held on June 14, with Senior Vice President Cheri Santore presiding.

Members reported 64 cards and three books of stamps sent.

Under Community Activities and Veterans and Family Support, 62 hours volunteered for veterans and 86 hours for nonveterans.

A bloodmobile collection was held on June 27.

Members also reported signing several online petitions and responding to emails regarding veterans support. All were encouraged to sign up for the weekly VFW Action Corps report.

All were thanked for their participation and assistance during the Memorial Day weekend activities.

Save the date of July 20 was urged, with further details to follow.

The next regular meeting is tentatively schedule for Aug. 9.

A special meeting has been scheduled for 6:30 p.m. July 12 at the Post home. The meeting will be brief with only one item on the agenda.

All interested members are encouraged to attend.
