Walker Township

Walker Township supervisors took the following action on Thursday:

• Agreed to opt out and prohibit mini casinos from being located in the township.

• Raised the rate for the park pavilion rental fee from $60 to $70 starting Jan. 1.

• Agreed to send a letter to the insurance company on behalf of the township’s fire department so that it may recoup money for extraordinary expenses.

• Agreed to increase the rate for part-time snow plowers, if needed from now to the end of the year, from $17 an hour with a CDL license, and $14 without a CDL license.

• Announced the board of supervisors meetings will be held at 7 p.m. in 2018.
