WALNUTPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL

Walnutport Borough Council recently took the following action:

• Hired Brian Taylor as full-time public works employee.

• Appointed Debbie Moyer to a three-year appointment to the Slatington Public Library board of directors (per letter from the Slatington Public Library) for the term of Jan. 1, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2023.

• Announced that a four-lot subdivision with a new duplex fronting on South Canal Street, with the existing duplex on South Railroad Street to remain. The borough’s planning commission recommended conditional preliminary/final approval contingent upon the standard borough conditions and meeting the comments in the letter dated Nov. 14.
